Headmistress Message

St. Antony’s school is a Christian institution. The school was started by SMSS of Shimoga in year 1998, in order to impart basic education to the less privileged children living in the town and nearby villages. Most of the parent of these children are from middle class families though some of them are cooli workers or famers.

The motto of our school is love and service. Through this motto we try to inculcate in them the love for every human being of any caste or creed. The aim of the management is to provide value education for the children and help them to come up in their life.

The school is surrounded by beautiful hills and the atmosphere is very conducive. At present the strength of our school is 1100. The management has provided the building with spacious class, rooms, good furniture, lab equipment, education appliances, games materials, computer lab, library and a park for the LKG, UKG children . The school has huge playground to develop the sporting skills of students. Transport is available for the children so that they can be on time for the casses. The staff members strive to inculcate values and provide various activities to develop their talents and abilities.

Today the school was created a name for itself because of the hard work and team work of our teachers and co-workers who work tirelessly. I am extremely happy and privileged to share that this school is striving to fulfill its vision and mission to empower young minds to face the challenges of life with courage, to be builders of a humane and just society.

Sr. Anima
Headmistress,
St. Antony’s Higher Primary School.
“Education should help in building your character, improving your intellect, giving you strength to face life and making you stand tall with courage in your heart”.

I know that is what St. Antony’s has been constantly endeavouring to do during the last 18 years of its existence. There is stress on balance between all aspects of personality development, with special attention being paid to the nurturing of value based principles. It is heartening to meet students after they leave school and to hear them credit their Alma Mater for the values they have imbibed.

During the last few years St. Antony’s School has made great strides in encouraging the development of sports skills as well as cultural talents in the students. The result is seen in the many laurels that the students have won at the Pratibha Karanji talent contest at inter school, district and state levels. In the sports field too, our students have excelled at the inter school, district and regional levels in events like Volley ball, Throw ball, Foot ball, Kabaddi, Badminton ect. One boy reached the state level with long jump.

In enhancing the intellectual capacity of the students, the teachers have spared no efforts and their hard work has given the school cent percent results during the last many years.

I want to congratulate the teaching and non teaching staff members who spare no effort to do their very best to raise the standard of the school. Their vision, zeal and energy has enhanced both the creative intelligence of the students as well as their sense of civic and social responsibility towards society.

I have witnessed amazing collaboration between management, staff, students and parents and this has a positive influence on the general ambience of the school.

Inspite of the initial adjustments to the new surroundings, it has been a pleasure to interact with students both in the class room and on the grounds. Their simplicity, smile and boundless energy has recharged me whenever I crossed their path.

I want to thank God who has been merciful to us in blessing us with numerous graces and keeping all of us in his loving and protective hands. May our work and life give glory to Him.

May St. Antony’s School grow from strength to strength, continuing to be a beacon of light and wisdom to all who enter its portals. May St. Antony shower his blessings on everyone so that they make a difference in the lives of others and contribute to the well being of society.

May God bless each one of you.

Headmistress,
